have discovered, updating your web site via a wireless connection can be
painfully expensive due to the over head in the usual transfer protocols. GMN
solves this problem by providing a new innovative mechanism for posting web
updates using it's proven Fast E-Mail technology. As a subscriber to this
service all you need to do is e-mail your web updates as compressed attachments
to GMN's mail update program (
webupdate@gmn-usa.com ) and the new pages are posted for you
automatically. The fast web update mail program supports all standard
compression formats. Simply WinZip or RAR your new pages and pictures,
attach them to an e-mail, and send them to
webupdate@gmn-usa.com
and your new pages are updated automatically on our web server . Fast, Simple,
and Inexpensive. Fast web update even works over all HF/SSB Pactor E-Mail
connections where mail attachments are supported.
GMN Web Hosting Services
- Web hosting with 50Mb of disk space. More disk space can be arranged

- Full Microsoft FrontPage 2002 support over regular Internet connections.

E-Mail Updates How it Works
To update your personal web site using the web update e-mail robot you
- Create the web pages using standard tools such as FrontPage 2002 and move
them to the web site. The creation of your web site would normally be
done prior to departing on your trip.
- While traveling update the local copy of your web site on your computer
with new pictures and text.
- The new changed files are then bundled into a
winzip archive making sure
that the directory structure parallels the one used by the web site. For
example, if your website contains a file called "index.html" which refers to
images in a folder called "images" which contains new pictures to be added to
the web site then you would create a winzip archive such that the files are
archived as follows:
index.html
images\
images\newpic.gif
4. Next compose an e-mail addressed to
webupdate@gmn-usa.com and
attach the newly created winzip archive.
5. Send the e-mail and verify the web changes next time you
happen by an internet cafe.
Currently only winzip archives are supported. Additional
attachment formats will be added in the near future.
