| GMN carries the full line of SCS Pactor modems and accessories. These modems
work with most HF/SSB e-mail providers including XNet, SailMail, and
Winlink. We also construct custom cables to interface your radio to a PTC modem.
Please fill out the information request form if you require a quotation on a
cable.
Looking for an HF service provider? check out the
XNet Yachting Association. Both our
WeatherNet weather and XGate
e-mail products work beautifully over XNet.

| The ultimate HF modem! Fast, full featured and upgradeable to
PACTOR-III. Send email, transfer files, establish real-time data
links. The PTC-IIusb modem is the multi mode data interface
between your PC and radio equipment. The PACTOR-II mode is the
industry standard, and the most robust digital mode available for
radio data connections. The PTC-IIusb will maintain links in
conditions with signal to noise ratios of minus 18 dB,
transferring data with absolutely inaudible signals.
The PTC-IIusb comes standard with 2 MB of RAM, integrated
RS-232 and TTL interface for control of common radios and a
temperature compensated crystal oscillator for stability. Built-in
ability for GPS position reporting. Packet-Radio operation for VHF
and UHF up to 19200 baud is built into the PTC-IIusb with no
additional hardware to add.
Easily installed with compatible radios from Icom, Kenwood,
Yaesu, SGC, SEA, Furuno, R&S and others. Use the PTC-IIusb with
commercial stations worldwide or the international network of
Winlink amateur radio operators that support PACTOR-II and
PACTOR-III. |

| The PTC-IInet is a neat combination of a PACTOR
modem (with transceiver control) and a Linux-PC, where both find
their place together in a PTC-IIpro sized case. The PTC-IInet has
a network connection (Ethernet 10/100) and can with this directly
be connected to a router. If that router is connected to the
Internet (e.g. via DSL- or cable-modem) then the PTC-IInet is also
"online" this way.
When the PTC-IInet receives a connect from the outside, it
serves as a gateway to the Internet for that distant station. This
function is called
PACTOR-IP-Bridge (PIB) and works similar to WLAN, but with the
advantage of a very large range of coverage and the disadvantage
of narrow bandwidth. The PTC-IInet is by default delivered with
PACTOR-III. Configuration is done via a comfortable web interface.
The web interface also supports automatic updates of the
firmware and Linux kernel via the Internet. With a simple click,
the PTC-IInet connects to the SCS Internet server, looks for
updates and installs them automatically, if available. |

| The small companion of the PTC-IIpro. Small in size, but not
in performance! Perfect for portable use. Send email, transfer
files, establish real-time data links. The PTC-IIex modem is an
affordable data interface between your PC and radio equipment. The
PTC-IIex comes with robust PACTOR-I and PACTOR-II digital modes
built in. The PTC-IIex will maintain links in conditions with
signal to noise ratios of minus 18 dB. This means data
transfer with absolutely inaudible signals. The PTC-IIex is less
expensive than it's full featured brother, the PTC-IIpro, without
sacrificing performance.
Powered by a powerful Motorola CPU and DSP (Digital Signal
Processor), the PTC-IIex stands out as superior technology for HF
radio data transfers. Packet-Radio operation for VHF and UHF up to
19200 baud is built into the PTC-IIex with no additional hardware
to add.
Simple installation with compatible radios from Icom, Kenwood,
Yaesu, SGC, SEA, Furuno, R&S and others. Use the PTC-IIex with
commercial stations world wide, as well as the international
network of amateur radio operators (MBOs) that support PACTOR
modes. |

The ultimate speed enhancer! Upgrade your Pactor II, Pro, or IIe to
Pactor III and improve your e-mail performance by a factor of 10! Simply
download the firmware from
here and
purchase the license and you are off to the races. After purchasing the
software upgrade please e-mail us your PTC-II serial number (located
on the bottom of your unit) to
info@globalmarinenet.net and your order number so that we may register
your software. Alternately, you can type the serial number into the
comment box in the order form when you check out. Older Pactor II units
must have electronic serial numbers to upgrade the units.
